Rustic Getaway in France from Ken and Lisa Cadow
Spend a week during the grape harvest in St. Chinian, a charming hamlet in the Languedoc region of France. Vineyards abound, as do the opportunities for tours and tastings. Explore local markets, restaurants, walking trails, ancient ruins, and spectacular views of surrounding farmland. The vast sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are just 40 minutes away - pack bathing suits as the water is still pleasant in September. This "maison de village" has a gourmet eat-in kitchen with working fireplace, three private bedrooms (sleeps 8), 2.5 baths, washer and dryer, small terrace for outdoor dining and grilling, living room with TV/DVD player, and wireless Internet service. Boghosian's constructions, assemblages, and sculptures have been exhibited internationally and collected by a number of preeminent American museums. He joined the studio art faculty at Dartmouth in 1968. (Minimum bid: $10,000.) Value: $24,000
